Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH and the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo

 

Sarajevo, December 22, 2021 - Director of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Merdžo and the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo Zinka Grbo signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Wednesday, December 22 in Sarajevo.

Memorandum seeks to establish close institutional cooperation in organizing, encouraging and improving legal science, practice, and education in the domain of intellectual property rights.

The special goal of this Memorandum is the realization of professional practice of students of the Faculty of Law within the Institute, which would enable students practical and professional work during their studies, and development and adoption of practical aspects of work at the Institute in the domain of intellectual property rights.

Memorandum plans visits and lectures by representatives of the Institute at the Faculty of Law on relevant topics in the field of intellectual property rights, as well as visits and lectures by representatives of the Faculty of Law at the Institute.

The aim is also to organize joint educational events in the field of intellectual property rights, as well as other activities aimed at improving legal science, practice and education in the domain of intellectual property rights.

Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH and the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo was concluded for a period of five years and enters into force on the day of its signing.

The signing of the Memorandum was attended by Prof. Iza Razija Mešević PhD, Vice Dean for International Cooperation and a prominent expert in the field of copyright and related rights.
