Second session of the Interagency Co-operation Body for the Acquisition and Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in BiH held
Mostar, April 29, 2022 - The second session of the Interagency Co-operation Body for the Acquisition and Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rightsin Bosnia and Herzegovina (MTS) was held.
The session was held online, using a video conferencing application.
According to the Strategy for the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2018-2022, the MTS is a coordinating body composed of representatives of institutions responsible for the enforcement of intellectual property rights at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and representatives of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, institution that is responsible for performing professional and administrative tasks in the field of intellectual property.
This MTS session was chaired by Zagorka Gojković, a representative of the Indirect Taxation Authority, as the chairwoman of this body. According to the proposed agenda, the session adopted, among other things, the Rules of Procedure of the MTS, and considered and adopted the Action Plan for the implementation of measures from the Strategy for the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2018-2022. All decisions were adopted by consensus.
At today's session, the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Director Josip Merdžo, a member of MTS on behalf of the Institute.
The holding of this session and the adoption of these documents is a contribution to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation through the initiation and coordination of activities in the field of acquisition and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
