Delegation of the Institute paid study visit to the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia
Mostar, October 10, 2022 - Delegation of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, consisting of director Josip Merdžo, deputy director Ljubica Kozić and five employees from the Institute on tasks related to various industrial property rights, paid a study visit to the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia from the 3rd to 6th of October.
The aim of the visit was to exchange and transfer experiences related to the services provided by the Intellectual Property Office. On the second and third day of the visit, during meetings at the level of the managers of these two institutions, the Director of the Office, Vladimir Marić, and the managers of the organizational units spoke about the competences of the Office, the services of the Center for Education and Information, as well as the ways of maintaining the network with partner institutions, the functioning of the Coordinating Body, the copyright law and supervision of collective organizations for the management of copyright.
In parallel with the meetings, during four days, employees of the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH, assigned to various jobs in the field of patents, trademarks and industrial design, underwent training for the performance of the Diagnostics of Intellectual Property service, starting from the preparation to the actual performance of the service, and visited various organizational units in the Office, where they were presented with tasks in procedures for the grant of industrial property rights.
Also, experiences were transferred on ways of communication with institutions for supporting the economy, with small and medium-sized enterprises, universities and other institutions, towards which education and information activities should be directed. Three representatives of the Institute visited two companies with employees from the Office for the purpose of training for the performance of Diagnostics service, the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.
