Conference on the application of copyright law held in Sarajevo
Sarajevo, March 21, 2023 - Conference entitled "Practical implementation of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights and the Law on the Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina" was held on March 21, 2023 in Sarajevo, organized by the Association for the protection of phonogram producers’ rights "PHONOGRAM".
Conference thematised legal framework and application of laws in the period from 2010 to 2022 through two panels.
Director Josip Merdžo, assistant director Boris Sesar and Tatjana Vitomir, head of the Copyright and Related Rights Department, participated in the conference on behalf of the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH.
In his introductory presentation, director Merdžo informed participants about current reform of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights and the Law on the Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights, which should be completed by the end of 2025.
Many international and domestic experts spoke at the conference, including general secretary of WICMI (World Innovation and Change Management Institute) Danijel Koletić and representative of IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) Agnieszka Horak de Sousa.
