Banja Luka: Lectures and workshop on the subject of patents in the field of medicine and pharmacy held
Banja Luka, May 12, 2023 - A one-day workshop on the subject of patents in the field of medicine and pharmacy was held on May 12, 2023 in the premises of the Faculty of Medicine in Banja Luka, organized by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka as part of the pharmacy study program, and in cooperation with the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Workshop was intended for students of the pharmacy study program, teachers, associates and researchers. The goal of the workshop was to point out the possibility of strengthening innovation capacities at scientific research institutions and universities through the use of intellectual property tools.
Workshop participants were addressed by the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Ranko Škrbić and Assoc. Dr. Relja Suručić, who emphasized the importance of the topic of intellectual property for the work of the Faculty of Medicine, whose teachers and associates invest considerable effort in scientific and research work.
Lectures and workshop were held by representatives of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina - senior expert associate in the National Patent Department Dragana Marić Mešić and head of the International Patent Department Ana Špirić. The lectures covered the topics on the importance of intellectual property at universities and scientific research organizations and inventions in the field of medicine and pharmacy, after which a workshop was held on searching patent databases and drafting
