Meeting on cooperation between the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH and IDDEEA held in Sarajevo
Sarajevo, September 25, 2023 - Director of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Josip Merdžo, and Assistant Director in the Sector for the Development of Intellectual Property System, Vesna Vuletić Bebek, held a meeting with the Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) Prof. Dr. Almir Badnjević in the premises of the Institute's branch office in Sarajevo, where they discussed the key aspects and models of inter-institutional cooperation in the coming period, with a special focus on the possibilities of data exchange, use of digital infrastructure and the beginning of the application of electronic signatures.
This meeting is the first step in the process of cooperation between these two institutions, and further meetings and activities are planned in order to improve the digitization of business, security of data exchange, and to enable the use of electronic signatures for services to legal and physical entities in proceedings conducted before the Institute for Intellectual the property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would significantly contribute to improvement in efficiency of Institute's operations, and enable holders of intellectual property rights to faster exercise their rights and fulfil their obligations with regard to intellectual property rights.
