Delegation of the Institute at the regional seminar on cooperation between collective organizations and regulatory bodies
Mostar, March 29, 2017 – Delegation of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in the Regional seminar on fostering co-operation between collective organizations and regulatory and supervisory bodies, held in Zagreb last week, co-organised by International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) and the Service for Protection of Music Copyrights of the Croatian Composers' Association (HDS ZAMP).
Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Josip Merdžo, director and Tatjana Vitomir, expert assistant for related rights. Seminar brought together representatives of organizations for collective management of copyright and related rights and state regulatory bodies from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia. CISAC Director General Gadi Oron, CISAC Regional Director for Europe Mitko Chatalbashev and HDS ZAMP General Director Nenad Marčec, among others, participated in the work of the seminar. Participants were greeted by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia Nina Obuljen Koržinek.
Some of the topics discussed at the seminar were CISAC global projects and priorities, collective organizations as contributors to creative economy - online challenges, "One stop shops" and state regulation in Central and Eastern Europe, relation between collective organizations and supervisory bodies, all with the aim of advancement and promotion of the creative economy and cultural diversity in each participating country and an even better future cooperation.
