WIPO start-up workshop in Belgrade

 

Mostar, December 1, 2017 - Workshop "How to create and manage start-ups", organized by WIPO in cooperation with the Centre for Technology Transfer at the University of Belgrade and the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia, was held on November 13 and 14, 2017 in Belgrade at the premises of the Intellectual Property Office.

Introductory presentations were held by Vladimir Marić, acting director of the Intellectual Property Office of Serbia, Živoslav Tešić, vice-rector of the University of Belgrade and Olga Spasić, head of the Department for support to small and medium enterprises in the World Intellectual Property Organization.

Representative of the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH Dragana Marić Mešić, patent specialist, held a presentation on the topic of legal regulation in the field of intellectual property protection at universities and research institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Participants in the panel discussion on technology transfer at universities and research institutions were: Tamas Bene, head of the Centre for Technology Transfer from Debrecen University of Hungary, Justyna Ozegalska-Trybalska, professor and member of the Rector's Commission for Intellectual Property of the Jagiellonian University of Poland, Jon Wulff Petersen, director of the Centre for Technology Transfer in the consulting firm Plougmann Vingtoft from Denmark and Patrick Pierre, senior vice-president in Questel Consulting Grenoble from France.
