Strategy for the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in BiH adopted
SARAJEVO, January 15, 2019 - Council of Ministers of BiH passed the Decision on the adoption of the Strategy for the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2018-2022, which constitutes the basis for defining and establishing a complete and efficient system of enforcement of intellectual property rights in accordance with the requirements of accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the European Union (EU).
Adopting this strategy will contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of BiH in line with the achievements of a modern, knowledge-based society.
Strategy sets out guidelines and measures that imply the development and improvement of the legislative and institutional framework in BiH and the establishment of interinstitutional cooperation.
By adopting this strategy, the Council of Ministers of BiH fulfils one more obligation set out in the Action plan for the implementation of priorities from the early report of the European Commission for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
